One single new concept introduced per session. How our accountability sessions work
For the kickoff call on Monday, you'll meet me and your fellow cohort mates, then I'll onboard you to our program. Then every Wed and Fri (and every Mon, Wed, and Fri until you finish), we do optional 3-hour accountability sessions that go like this:
- Voice call hello, progress update, and goal-setting (1 PM - 1:10 PM)
- Silent study for 1.5 hours (Q&A forums open)
- Text progress update and goal-setting in Discord chat box (2:30 PM)
- Silent study for 1.5 hours (Q&A forums open)
- Text update at the end, summarizing your progress (3:50 - 4:00 PM)
For learners that are busy during the scheduled times, one of our coaches will send you a message to set your study goals for the day, and ask you for a progress update at the end of the day. If you have questions on what you learned, you post them in the chat forum to be answered by one of our coaches or graduates.
Who is my coach?
David Venturi graduated from Queen's University with a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics in 2014. He is the head coach at Data Maverick HQ. After working for a year, he discovered online education (in the early MOOC era) and became enamored with its potential. He has since created content to help people navigate the space, including a DIY data science master's program, Class Central's Data Science Career Guide, courses for Udacity's Data Analyst Nanodegree program, and several DataCamp courses and projects. He has analyzed data professionally since 2010 using Excel, and since 2015 using Python, R, and SQL. What happens if I don't complete the curriculum in 3 months?
If you don't finish in 3 months, you can continue with other students in your cohort who also are going at their desired pace, or slide to the next cohort.
What happens when I graduate?
You'll have your certification. You can continue to learn new data skills with your new friends using your DataCamp subscription. You also now have the option to join our program for Python, SQL, or R-qualified data graduates only: 3 Months to 6 Figures (sign up for newsletter) - pick your dream niche, earn while building your portfolio, and land dream job offers that give you the highest earning potential for your passion.

Frequently asked questions
- How does monthly pricing work? Your investment is US$170 the day you sign up and then payments of $170 every month for 3 months. You get community access until the last day of your cohort regardless of when your first payment is.
- What do the courses in the curriculum cost? The prices of some of my recommended courses vary depending on your billing location and how long you take to finish them. For folks in the United States, the courses will be $117 total if you finish in 3 months (3 months of a DataCamp Premium subscription - note: affiliate link that supports our community). Most of our members sign up for DataCamp's annual subscription which is frequently on sale for $150.
- How long does it take? There are 90 hours of content in the curriculum. That is focused study time, so not including breaks. One student who had no Python experience prior and had an undergraduate STEM degree who studied 3x a week and attended all of the sessions finished in 3 months. We recommend you study 1 hour on your own on Tuesday and Thursday outside of our group sessions if you want to complete the program faster.
- Is it self-paced? Yes, you can complete the curriculum on your own schedule. We also have scheduled cohorts where you can progress through the curriculum with other members at the same time. Students in our cohorts report higher success in actually completing the courses.
- I want to study with you, but I need to use different courses. Is that okay? Yes, one of our members is currently using Dataquest. He still joins for the check-ins for accountability in his other courses.
- Can this be done with a full-time job? Yes, our students often complete our program with a full-time job. If you are working 40 hours per week, nine hours beyond that for our three 3-hour group accountability sessions each week is the most we recommend for most people. I would not recommend joining if you work more than 40 hours per week.
- Can this be done at a longer pace than 3 months? Yes. See the "What happens if I don't complete the curriculum in 3 months?" section above.
- What should I learn before joining? There are no prerequisites for my curriculum other than basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- How do I sign up for a cohort? To save your spot in a specific cohort (listed above), reply to your email receipt with "March cohort", "May cohort", etc.
- When do cohorts run? A new cohort starts every third month with 3-hour coach-led accountability sessions scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- What if I can't make the group sessions at the schedule time? No problem. You still get the coach + community accountability because one of our coaches will send you a message to set your study goals (what and when) each Mon, Wed, and Fri, and ask you for a progress update at the end of the day.
- How will we get in contact for the accountability messages? Discord.
- What time will you contact me to set the study goals and then check on my progress? I send out an accountability post to the group at the start of the accountability session that you will reply to. The people attending the call live reply to these too. These happen Monday, Wednesday, Friday. At the end, I send out an accountability post where you update us on your progress at the end of your day. If you have questions on what you learned, you post them in the chat forum to be answered by our coaches or our 3 Months to 6 Figures job attracting clients.
- Can I join 3 Months to 6 Figures after I graduate? Yes, with your first week of that program free after graduating from this program.
